Preston Morgan
Preston L. Morgan assists clients in family law matters, including spousal support, child support, child custody, enforcement of marital settlement agreements, and domestic violence restraining orders. Preston also assists in elder law litigation including trust and estate litigation and elder abuse.
Prior to joining the Law Office of William D. Kopper in Davis, Preston L. Morgan practiced law at Downey Brand, the Sacramento area’s largest law firm.
Preston Morgan’s experience includes participation in the representation of international, national, and regional businesses as well as individuals, in a variety of areas including intellectual property litigation, breach of fiduciary duties, deceptive business practices, and covenants not to compete.
Although Mr. Morgan thoroughly understands the process of civil litigation, he appreciates that the best solutions are the ones the parties, with assistance of qualified counsel, seek out themselves. Preston L. Morgan saw the value of alternative dispute resolution as a law clerk to a federal magistrate judge, where he attended and participated in numerous mediations.
Preston L. Morgan graduated from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, earning spots on the Dean’s List, Traynor Honors Society, and Order of the Coif. In his last year of school, he took first place in a national moot court competition in intellectual property held in Washington D.C. After law school, he served as a law clerk to two federal judges, Magistrate Judge Valerie P. Cooke of the United States District Court, District of Nevada and the Honorable Procter R. Hug, III of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Preston, his wife, and his two children have proudly made Davis their home. He enjoys swimming as part of the Davis Aquatic Masters and has even braved the chilly waters of the bay to escape from Alcatraz.

Christopher W. Dietrich
Christopher W. Dietrich assists clients in the areas of family law, including divorce, separations, annulments, child custody, support, and domestic violence proceedings. Mr. Dietrich previously owned his own firm Dietrich Family Law in Sacramento, CA. Prior to establishing Dietrich Family Law Mr. Dietrich directed the Sacramento operations of the Modesto based firm the Law Office of Thomas P. Hogan practicing in the same areas of law.
He is an active member of the Sacramento County Bar Association where he has served on several committees. He also volunteers his time for Empower Yolo in Woodland to assist low income individuals with Family Law matters. Outside of practicing law Mr. Dietrich enjoys spending time with his family in Davis, long distance running, and volunteering with his church’s youth ministry.
Dietrich graduated from the UC Davis School of Law.
