Preston Morgan
Preston L. Morgan is a certified specialist in both family law and estate planning, trust and probate. He assists clients in family law matters, including spousal support, child support, child custody, enforcement of marital settlement agreements, and domestic violence restraining orders. Preston also sees clients for estate planning, trust and probate administration, including trust and estate litigation and elder abuse.
Prior to joining the practice with William D. Kopper in 2014, Preston L. Morgan practiced law at Downey Brand, the Sacramento area’s largest law firm.
Preston Morgan’s past experience includes participation in the representation of international, national, and regional businesses as well as individuals, in a variety of areas including intellectual property litigation, breach of fiduciary duties, deceptive business practices, and covenants not to compete.
Although Mr. Morgan thoroughly understands the process of civil litigation, he appreciates that the best solutions are the ones the parties, with assistance of qualified counsel, seek out themselves. He saw the value of alternative dispute resolution as a law clerk to a federal magistrate judge, where he attended and participated in numerous mediations.
Preston L. Morgan graduated from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, earning spots on the Dean’s List, Traynor Honors Society, and Order of the Coif. After law school, he served as a law clerk to two federal judges, Magistrate Judge Valerie P. Cooke of the United States District Court, District of Nevada and the Honorable Procter R. Hug, III of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
